Portman Equipment is now Equipment Depot!

Since 1960, Portman Equipment Company has set the standard for service excellence. Businesses in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia have turned to Portman for superior material handling products and solutions.

With our 50th anniversary just around the corner, we are proud to announce a new name for Portman Equipment Company. On October 1, 2008 we changed our name to Equipment Depot! Our name change better reflects the breadth of products and services we offer to you.

This new identity will be shared nationwide by our entire Pon dealer network – five dealers with 40 locations in 12 states. The Equipment Depot dealer group is part of one of the world’s largest family owned businesses. The Pon family will continue to promote the “local intimacy” that has made us the successful service organizations that we are today.

Our commitment to your satisfaction remains unchanged. We will continue to represent the same industry leading products and offer the same innovative services. Most importantly, our same people will continue serving you with the drive to be the best in the business.

As a part of this change you will see a new look for our service vans… on the outside you’ll begin to see Equipment Depot… on the inside you’ll still find the honesty, integrity and reliability that, through nearly fifty years, has made us proud to call so many of our customers – “friends”.
